That’s a wrap on Project Quilting 17 and Happy Quilting Day
I am proud of myself. I completed more challenges this year than any previous years and had a lot of fun doing it. The last challenge was 17.6, A Happy Handful and the goal was to make something to fit in your hand. I knew I wanted to make a bag but also had very little time this week.
See my youngest is a dancer and this week was parent participation week. I usually use her dance classes as times to catch up, plan social media posts, work on patterns. None of that happened this week as I was taking Jazz, Ballet, and Hip Hop. Yes I am sore! Top that off with having to get ready for a fun spring break, I wasn’t sure whether I would get the final challenge completed.
Today is National Quilting Day. While cleaning and packing I watched some you tube and was inspired by a tutorial by A Quilting life. Watch here. It is a quick project and I feel that every trip needs a new bag! I had some scrap batting and that determined the size of the bag. I pulled a cute charm pack and other fabric and a couple pieces of webbing I had from my stash. This project took a little over an hour to complete, making it a low guilt and high reward project!
With the start of spring, finally feeling healthy and getting my dance on and having time for a little sewing, I can feel my mood lifting out of the winter doldrums and I am looking forward to upcoming projects. I am currently taking a course, learning new programs to work on pattern writing. I enjoy learning new things and of course and also planning new patterns which is fun too. I hope you are also feeling the renewal of spring and find time to be creative!
