Binding, doesn’t have to be awful?
I love quilting, I love picking the pattern (or writing it), I love fabric, I love the piecing and I even love freemotion quilting. I do not however love binding and I know I have a couple projects just waiting for the binding to be completed. So imagine my excitement when my friend, Natalie of The Ginger Quilter, announced she is doing a Quilt Binding Workshop, I was super excited.
3 days of building machine binding techniques!
Day 1: Machine Binding
Day 2: Piped and Ric Rac Binding
Day 3: Faced Binding
Her Workshop is coming up on June 23-26th and is live at 6pm MST. But don’t worry if you can’t make it, you have access to the videos. I am looking forward to learning some new techniques and as you can see from my image below, I need it! I am signed up and I hope you will do. You cannot beat her price! $10!!
I look forward to showing you my next finished project and hopefully won’t be so hesitant to get that binding done.
My first big quilt with many areas of bad binding technique. One day I will hand stitch it all down.
Now can you help me pick my next quilt to bind (well quilt then bind) after the workshop? Should I make A. 3 yard Cottage B. Puzzle Quilt Carosel C. Firefly stars or D. Tula Pink stars?
Looking forward to summer quilt snuggles!
